I opened a new box of 44" Breathing Color Chromata White canvas and look what I found. The box was in perfect condition and the other box that it was strapped to contained a roll in perfect shape (luckily). I couldn’t find anything around the studio that would have caused a rippled dent like this. Some motherfucker damaged this roll before it got into the box or something.
Send it back, K! The reel was typically damaged during transport (in case the outer shell was damaged) or during packaging or winding. The company will know exactly what happened to it as it should be marked with a batch production number.
LOL, don't worry; I shall. =) I e-mailed my Canadian supplier. I've never seen anything quite like the damage I found on this roll. The box is in rather pristine condition. On the other hand, that screwed up roll of fine art paper never got resolved - I'll never use Canpar for anything if I can help it. Unfortunately, the Canadian Breathing Color rep people always use it and they won't change.
