Nikol, thanks for inquiring. =) It depends on what kind of shooting that you do. If you are mostly shooting where you have access to AC mains, Lightrein offers some very attractive options in lighting. Speaking on light quality alone I think that it is very good. The light spectrum is easy to work with and I managed to achieve good skin tones and colours in food photography without the need for custom profiling of my cameras. If you're looking for softboxes, Lightrein softboxes produce an even light with nice wrap around but I personally prefer Plume/Calumet Illuma and Chimera softboxes. That said, Lightrein softboxes seem more durable than Plume/Illuma softboxes mainly because Lightrein uses metal rods whereas Calumet/Plume use a fibre glass rod fused with a metal tube near where they attach to the light. I wouldn't know how well the lights would mix with your specific lights but I know that the flash colour temperature of the 700W/s lights is about 200K colder than the light generated by a Bowens QuadX 3000 pack with Quad heads and they have roughly the same colour temperatures as Balcar Iris heads on Nexus packs if I recall correctly. The best way to compare is to get some measurements. I think you can inquire about the flash colour temperature range of Lightrein lights on their website: http://lightrein.ca/. There are also several dealers in Canada that carry the lights and I'm sure you could bring in some of your own lights to do some tests.
